Guangzhou Daily Shunde News (All Media Reporter Huang Zining Correspondent Chen Yitong Photography Report) These days, on social networks, Li Yuming, deputy director of the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery of Shunde Hospital Affiliated to Jinan University (formerly "Shunde District No. 2 People's Hospital"), suddenly became "popular". Two photos of Dr. Li Yuming performing surgery with a cast on his left foot and walking into the operating room with crutches have attracted widespread attention. The reporter saw that in the photo of Dr. Li on the operating table, Dr. Li had a cast on his left foot, using a green short stool to pad his feet and support his body, and sat on a chair next to him to perform surgery for the patient, his eyes still staring at the instrument meticulously.

Routine maintenance of stainless steel valves

  1. Valves should be stored in a dry and ventilated room, with both ends of the passage blocked.

  2. Valves stored for a long time should be inspected regularly to remove dirt and apply anti-rust oil to the machined surfaces.

  3. After installation, regular inspections should be carried out, with the following main inspection items:

  (1) Condition of sealing surface wear.

  (2) Condition of trapezoidal thread wear on the valve stem and valve stem nut.

  (3) Whether the packing is outdated and ineffective, and replace it in time if it is damaged.

  (4) After valve maintenance and assembly, a sealing performance test should be performed.

For valves in operation, all kinds of valve parts should be complete and in good condition. The bolts on the flanges and brackets should be complete, the threads should be intact, and no looseness is allowed. The fastening nuts on the handwheel should be tightened in time if looseness is found to avoid wear on the connection or loss of the handwheel and nameplate. If the handwheel is lost, it is not allowed to replace it with an adjustable wrench, and it should be replaced in time. The packing gland is not allowed to be skewed or have no pre-tightening clearance. For valves in environments that are easily contaminated by rain, snow, dust, sand, and other dirt, a protective cover should be installed on the valve stem. The scale on the valve should be kept complete, accurate, and clear. The valve's lead seal, cap, pneumatic accessories, etc. should be complete and in good condition. The insulation jacket should be free of dents and cracks.

It is not allowed to knock, stand on, or support heavy objects on valves in operation; especially non-metallic valves and cast iron valves, which are even more prohibited.
