Foundry: Precautions for Repairing Agricultural Machinery Castings

Foundry

Precautions for repairing agricultural machinery castings: 1. Any defects can be removed by grinding, but the dimensions after grinding should meet the dimensional tolerance requirements of the casting.

Agricultural machinery castings Notes on repair:

       1. Any defects can be removed by grinding, but the dimensions after grinding should meet the dimensional tolerance requirements of the casting.

       2. Foundry: Deformed agricultural machinery castings are allowed to be straightened by mechanical methods, and all straightened castings should be checked for cracks.

       3. Unless otherwise specified, castings can be repaired by welding.

       4. When tungsten inert gas welding is used for repair welding, the welding area and depth of repair welding shall comply with the regulations. Note: 1) The welding area refers to the area after expansion and repair; 2) Welding areas with a welding area of less than 2cm2 are not included in the number of repair welds.

       5. The same repair weld shall not exceed three times, and the edge spacing of the weld zone (including the weld zone on the reverse side) shall not be less than the sum of the diameters of two adjacent weld zones.

       6. Foundry: Agricultural machinery castings supplied in a heat-treated state shall be heat-treated according to the original state after repair welding, and the mechanical properties of the heat-treated castings shall be inspected. When the argon arc welding area is less than 2cm2 and the welding interval is not less than 100 mm, heat treatment may not be required. However, there shall be no more than five places on a stainless steel casting.

       7. The repair welding area shall be free of cracks, delamination, and incomplete penetration. In any welding area, the allowable maximum diameter shall not be greater than 2 mm, and shall not exceed 1/3 of the wall thickness, or three pores or inclusions, and the edge distance shall not be less than 10 mm. Dispersed pores or inclusions with a diameter of less than 0.5 mm are not counted.

       8. The use of welding flux is not allowed during repair welding of castings working in corrosive media or atmospheres.

9、 Foundry : Unless otherwise specified, impregnation repair is allowed for agricultural machinery castings that require density.

Note: (If there is any discrepancy, please refer to the actual situation)
