The common materials for valve bodies are as follows: 1. Gray cast iron is suitable for low-pressure valves with working temperatures between -15℃ and +200℃ and a nominal pressure of PN≤1.6MPa.

1. Gray cast iron is suitable for low-pressure valves with working temperatures between -15℃ and +200℃ and a nominal pressure of PN≤1.6MPa.
2. Black heart malleable cast iron is suitable for medium and low-pressure valves with working temperatures between -15℃ and +250℃ and a nominal pressure of PN≤2.5MPa.
3. Ductile cast iron is suitable for medium and low-pressure valves with working temperatures between -30℃ and +350℃ and a nominal pressure of PN≤4.0MPa.
4. Carbon steel (WCA, WCB, WCC) is suitable for medium and high-pressure valves with working temperatures between -29℃ and +425℃, where 16Mn and 30Mn are between -40℃ and +450℃ and are often used to replace ASTMA105.
5. Low-temperature carbon steel (LCB) is suitable for low-temperature valves with working temperatures between -46℃ and +345℃.
6. Alloy steel (WC6, WC9) is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure valves for non-corrosive media with working temperatures of -29~+595℃; 5. WC12 is suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure valves for corrosive media with working temperatures between -29℃ and +650℃.
What is a valve body?
It is the main component of the valve body; there are different mechanical manufacturing methods depending on the pressure class. For example: casting, forging, etc. Valve bodies of medium and low-pressure specifications are usually produced by casting process. Medium and high-pressure valve bodies are produced by forging. A 'valve' is defined as a device used to control the direction, pressure, and flow of fluid in a fluid system. Valves are devices that allow or stop the flow of media (liquid, gas, powder) in pipelines and equipment and can control their flow rate. Depending on the process medium, the material of the valve body is different metal materials.
Function of valve body
1. On-off type: By applying a certain current or voltage, the internal coil of the battery valve is energized, and then the internal needle valve or ball valve is displaced, thereby blocking or opening the oil circuit. It is mainly used to control shifting.
2. Pulse type, current duty cycle control, controlled by frequency. It is mainly used to adjust oil pressure.
